Waffle House

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Waffle House on Woodbury Hwy, and let me tell you, it was an experience I won't soon forget! The food was good, but the service was so entertainingly crazy that I couldn't help but chuckle through my syrup-soaked waffles.

As soon as we were seated, we noticed a bit of syrup residue on the edge of our table. No biggie, right? We politely asked our waitress to wipe it off, and she insisted she already had. But lo and behold, there it was, the elusive syrup patch of destiny. We asked her again, and this time, she stomped over, clearly not thrilled with our persistence. With an exaggerated sigh, she wiped it off, but in her frustration, she managed to shoot crumbs and dishrag water straight into my lap. Talk about a syrupy surprise!

Just when we thought things couldn't get any more entertaining, in walked the manager. Our waitress took this as an opportunity to turn our quiet breakfast into a live episode of restaurant drama. She began loudly listing off which employees had left early and who hadn't been pulling their weight. I mean, it was like a soap opera unfolding right before our eyes. I half expected dramatic music to start playing in the background.

But the fun didn't stop there! Another waitress arrived on the scene, and our waitress wasted no time in filling her in on all the juicy gossip too. That's when the manager stepped in and basically told our waitress to chill out. It was like we were watching a reality TV show, but instead of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," it was "Keeping Up with the Waffle House."

In the end, while the service may have been a bit bonkers, it definitely added some unexpected entertainment to our breakfast outing. So, if you're looking for a side of drama with your waffles and syrup, the Waffle House on Woodbury Hwy might just be your new favorite spot!
